Discover an original printmaking technique with this Art at Home kit inspired by botanical designs. The activity encourages artists to experiment with shapes, colors and textures to create one-of-a-kind prints inspired by nature. Color is applied to a gel plate before leaves, plants or other elements are used to create patterns and textures. The design is then transferred onto paper, and several prints can be layered to create depth and more complex compositions. This creative activity provides an accessible introduction to printmaking without the need for a traditional printing press. Features: • Collection: Art at Home • Theme: Botanicals and nature • Technique: Gel plate printing • Creates unique layered prints • Encourages exploration of colors, shapes and textures • Uses: Printmaking, mixed media and creative art
